Sears Mastercard

Up until recently the only credit card Sears issued was their own Sears charge card, the only place you could use the card was in a Sears store or to shop at Sears.com. Recently they have decided to join with many other stores and in conjunction with Citi Bank issue a Sears MasterCard. You can of course still obtain and use the Sears Card, their MasterCard is however, a far more flexible credit card and like any other MasterCard can be used anywhere that accepts credit cards.

When you have a Sears MasterCard, you will receive monthly mailings with special discounts and coupons that are only sent to those who have this card. They offer a program that will allow you to access your credit score any time you need to for as long as you choose to participate in their Credit Score Access program. This program is subject to certain terms and conditions that are explained on their website.

One thing that most people really like about having a MasterCard by Sears is the extended warranty coverage you get on purchase you make with the card. If you need to return a purchase that you made with this card, you do not need a receipt as the cashiers can locate the purchase on your statement, this can come in very handy as so many of us manage to lose our receipts no matter how hard we try to keep track of them.

The Sears MasterCard comes with a built in rewards program that rewards you with 1 point for every $1 that you spend. You can save your points to spend on valuable gifts, gift cards merchandise in both Sears and Kmart, travel or even to take your family out to dinner. From time to time Sears has special bonus points events, there is no membership fee required to take advantage of this program and there is a website that allows you to track your points and redeem any rewards you have earned.

As with any other form of MasterCard when you have a Sears MasterCard you will never be held liable for any unauthorized purchases. You can order extra cards for your spouse or anyone else that you want to have access to it at no extra cost and if you happen to forget your card, both Sears and Kmart can issue you a temporary shopping pass so that you can still get your shopping done in any Sears or Kmart store as long as you have valid ID.
